To See: Sheldon Scott “Of/From” Perfomative Installation

Are black people citizens?” is a literal, logical question. But we are not in a literal, logical moment. This weekend, artist Sheldon Scott will respond in Boston.

“We know it’s an absurd question. We know it’s an offensive question. We are facing absurd times and dealing with deeply offensive phenomena… On the other hand, “Are black people citizens?” is a literal, logical question. In fact, many of us heard a great workshop on the history behind this question. But we are not in a literal, logical moment. Ask anyone, literal solutions are not working!” –Kenneth Bailey, The Design Studio for Social Intervention.

This weekend, artist Sheldon Scott will mount “Of/From”, a performative installation interrogating the 14th amendment at Copley & Dudley Squares in Boston, MA.

Date: Saturday June 27 and Sunday June 28

Time: 6 p.m.

Location: Copley Square is located at 560 Boylston, Boston, MA 02116.
